Provided Michigan cannot make the home run hire in getting Jim Harbaugh, I can see Greg Schiano getting the job even though he’s not a “Michigan Man”.
To get back to you on this, Michigan got their guy and to interim AD Jim Hackett’s credit Michigan never had to play their hand as to who choices 2 and 3 were. Schiano could still land one of the many NFL jobs if a team is willing to give him a 2nd crack at the Pros.
The week after June Jones “resigned” as the SMU head football coach, former Boise State/Arkansas/Ole Miss football coach said he was very interested in the Ponies coaching job. Then, earlier this week, Houston Mutt also expressed interest in the University of Tulsa head coaching position.
