Tomlin’s job is safe, at least until his contract expires in 2016. No way the Rooneys would consider firing a coach, then have to pay him for not coaching.
There are at least 10 head coaches currently in the league better than Tomlin. One of them is Bruce Arians. Arians was a horrible OC, but appears to have a knack for head coaching. Go figure.
