  1. Crazy how Willie Taggert stripped the names off of the back of their jerseys and wanted to put “The Team” on the back of every jersey. As a parent I’m okay with this approach to building teamwork through sports but at the end of the day, I feel like it’s more of a recruiting tool to attract blue chip athletes and football recruits who can use the NCAA as a platform to market their name and fuel a professional career in the NFL. Long story short, I want the names on the back of the jerseys to attract better talent and potentially win more games in the future. Rant over, I’m out.

    • Terrell, that’s a great point. With the future of college football in limbo, players are going to be seeking their marketability more and more by playing at the NCAA level. Just look at how prepared Johnny Manziel was for the NFL after his career at Texas A&M.
